The Campaign Will Take Several Turns

Now that Donald Trump is engaged in battle with V.P. Harris, it's time to change the tune to confuse him and the media. Give them a good story and give him a good headache.

I suggest a nice speech, perhaps 30 minutes on a significant topic like the tax reforms that Pres. Harris would like to achieve or perhaps reforms of Social Security and Medicare to ensure their solvency.

Pick a topic, just one, and talk at length and watch Donald Trump squirm and the media explode.

Donald Trump can hardly talk 5 minutes about anything without major signs of collapse, cognitive dissonance and major irritation. The media like a change in the story now and then, so they have something good to write.

Despite his lies about Project 2025, Donald Trump has gone to the trouble of drawing up a "Platform" for the 2024 Republican Party. It's terrible. Anything coming from that man's mind is a nightmare. See for yourself.

1 Seal the border.

That's practically impossible and undesirable. America is a very appealing place for those people who flee their homes to find a safer better life. If Trump wants America to be like his beloved Russia, he would have to destroy it. Looking at the rest of his "Platform", that's what he appears to have in mind.

2. Largest deportation in history

There's no call for that except racism. It's not practical or useful. We need a lot of the immigrants to make our economy stronger since America's population isn't growing quickly. Besides, Pres. Biden has been deporting more than at any time when Trump was president. This was possibly also true when Pres. Obama got some hate back from the Latino community for deportations.

3. End inflation

It's already ended except for in the Housing sector and there's nothing a president can do on that without Congress.

4. Make America the dominant energy producer

It already is. Pres. Obama opened up oil production and "We're Number 1".

5. Stop outsourcing.

No company today could get work done if that were stopped. He may have meant off-shoring, but that too would be impossible since we use so many products from abroad.

6. Large tax cuts for workers.

Who will pay the taxes if he insists on this and tax cuts for billionaires? Apparently he just wants to bankrupt America.

7. Defend our Constitution.

This is where we know the entire document is a joke. His plan to overthrow the election of 2020 with the January 6th attack on the Capital and Congress was a complete abrogation of his duties, as president, to defend the Constitution.


I'll stop here. The rest is as bad. It's clearly a desperate stupid attempt to please some Moderate Republicans or Independents, but it's awfl or unbelievable.

What's the Plan?

Senator Sanders said that Joe Biden needs to outline his plan for the next four years, describe the agenda, explain why we need it and connect with voters.

That's pretty good advice. My view is that the facts of the presidential campaign lay out the major issue of this election: Democracy, will it continue. Perhaps even more fundamental is whether the People will remain the Sovereign or if a rich elite, primarily headed by Donald Trump, will become a superior class which controls America and derives all the benefits of being an American citizen.

For example, Donald Trump has said he will take over the government and make it compliant with HIS policies rather than the laws written by Congress. He has said that he will continue reducing taxation of the rich. He has said they will continue to reduce government influence or restrictions on the rich and their organizations. All of these shift power away from the people and their elected members of Congress to Donald Trump and the rich who support him. It's like a multi-level marketing business, where the lower-class people must pay the upper-class people to get some benefit. It's the ultimate Cronyism. Democracy is on the line, with the alternative being a kind of horrible arrangement that would even allow the government to deny citizenship to a child born in America of American citizen parents. It's sickening.

So, the stakes are high, the policies are completely different, the horrors of the Right are clear to everyone (including Trump's own supporters), and Senator Sanders says this needs to be made clear to the public. As if it isn't clear already.

President Biden aims to protect Democracy, to uphold the laws, and to advocate for policy changes, both large and small, which will improve the lives of everyone -- today's Sovereign, "We the People".

One could argue that it's about money or the power to inflict the views of a minority over the entire nation (religious, racist, financial, etc.). But, once you realize all that is connected and that the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy wants all of those things, then you realize it isn't like a debate between John Kennedy and Richard Nixon in 1960. It's more like a debate between George Washington and King George of England. It's a fight for the Western Civilization.

This couldn't be more clear. Save yourself, your nation, your religion, your money, your World, vote for the Democratic Party candidate, whomever it may be.

The Presidential Race Campaign

There are many ways to look at the race. The media highlight only one or two which serve their own purposes. Primarily, the rich owners of media are telling voters that Pres. Biden is a nice old man who is no longer capable of being president. They also said the same thing 4 years ago. The New York Times owner doesn't like that Pres. Biden refused an interview. Right-Wing media FOX News and the New York Post and the Wall Street Journal are owned by one man, Rupert Murdoch, and he naturally has his new outlets telling everyone that Pres. Biden is the worst president we've ever had and the nation is in terrible shape and on the verge of disaster. The truth is closer to danger from Donald Trump.

More factually, the American people have seen these two men for some years now, and what they know is that Joe Biden is a long-time politician who knows the work of the presidency and has done it fairly well. We have low unemployment, good relations with our international partners and we are supporting Democracy in Ukraine while trying to settle a very long-term feud in the Middle-East. Everyone also knows that Donald Trump lies constantly, has been convicted of rape and 34 felonies related to his affair with a porn star and hiding that from the public during the last presidential campaign. He's also been charged with stealing U.S. top secret documents and refusing to return them. He's also been charged with attempting to overthrow the government in January 2021. These are not secrets from anyone.

Has Donald Trump EVER done anything for America? He promised to pass legislation to do infrastructure work, but he opposed it when the possibility actually arose. He said he would have Mexico pay for a wall between America and Mexico. Furthermore, he didn't do that. Instead, he supported the separation of immigrant children from their parents and then hiding them away from the world. Where were those children? What happened to them? He now says he would abandon Ukraine to Russia, presumably before abandoning the U.S. & NATO relationship. He would weaken America and our allies rather than strengthening those ties.

Voters know all this, but the media told Americans that Joe Biden spoke weakly during the debate and that was all that matters.

I want to know when there will be a trial of the charges against Donald Trump for stealing secret documents and hiding them, perhaps even selling them to American enemies. I want to know when the Republicans in America will wake up and realize Donald Trump is a bad man.

Any of the available qualified Democrats who could be president would be good to have, but right now Joe Biden is the president and he has been doing pretty well. He's honest, knows how to do the job, has done it well, and should be supported. Donald Trump is a liar, a cheat, a traitor, a criminal, and should be tried for his crimes. This is the most stark difference between two candidates that America has (perhaps) ever had. It's a clear difference and one which should produce a huge victory for Joe Biden.

But, the media are willfully blind and don't like him. Which is more important for American voters, that the media be satisfied or that their needs be met? I say Joe Biden is the obvious choice. Let's not get confused about that.

Bail Bond Reduction $300M to $175M Trump, "Tis barely a scratch"

The story... Judge Engoron assessed $454M for a bond, based on a long correct legal proceeding. An appeals court (seems to have) spent a few hours to write two pages to reduce that to $175M with NO explanation.

The War

Vladimir Putin has found he cannot defeat Ukraine, and now there are attacks within Russia which show he has great difficulty defending the people there. The conclusion that he "might do anything" is manifest in the Middle-East. His friends, the Iranians, and their friends, Hamas, IS, and others, are acting as powerfully as they can to distract America.

We know Putin and Iran prefer to act through intermediaries, but Donald Trump and Hamas have been defanged, so they moved on to other ways of attacking America (or our ally Israel). Sadly, we must also consider the U.S. politics involved.

As long as Donald Trump is destroyed politically and financially, the threat within America is muted. Even the craziness in Texas is not a huge problem. In Ukraine, the Russian military has been pushed back and is hardly a roaring fire. In Israel, Hamas has been severely damaged, perhaps (and hopefully) permanently. Iran remains Putin's last obvious chance to hurt America.

Today, they attacked a base and killed several soldiers, with others injured. A key question is whether we focus on the militia groups or on Iran proper. It's a military question in part. Can our military find and deal with the militia groups which have been using drones to attack us? If they can do that, then action against Iran can be delayed. We can give our military a period of time to prove their abilities vis-à-vis the militia groups. If that isn't sufficient, then Iran awaits. Assessments and plans should already exist in some part, and they should be completed. We need to be ready to act at a moment's notice.

One caveat or reminder: we need to be goal-based, and not focused on any particular technique(s). It may be lawyers in court or financial sanctions or support for Israel and Ukraine or strong political speech or direct attacks on Iran. Those choices are all subservient to the goals.

Harvard university fired their president. Why?

The Right has been arguing that organized Diversity in universities is bad. Recently they managed to oust the president of Harvard, their first black woman who had been in the job about 6 months. Why did this happen? And, why is it important?

Len Blavatnik, a close associate of Vladimir Putin, did so just before Christmas. Billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman was among the most vocal in calling for Gay's ouster, and even though he's a registered Democrat, he also took up Rufo's charge against DEI.

When they say it isn't about money, it's about money. When they say it's about eliminating "diversity", it's about money.

When the supporters of the South's rebellion said it wasn't about "slavery" it was about "slavery" and the money made from it.

Now that the Right has this "taste of blood" they know they can succeed, and they will do it again.
