Two Koreas Shake Hands

Apparently North and South Korea have agreed on some major changes to be secured by the end of the year.

The ideas about building North Korea into something new are coming forth and ways of financing it are being discussed. I would certainly hope that with the major changes toward solar and wind power, that any new energy construction in N. Korea would include those. In America almost all new energy construction is with wind, solar, and natural gas. If commercial businesses which seek to make a profit have made this decision (to move away from nuclear, coal, oil), then there is little reason to talk of bringing N. Korea into the present world, but to then push them back to 20th Century energy plans.

It is a symbolic start with much work ahead. I hope it is successful. Any financial costs will be less than that of constant potential of nuclear war.
